St. Pius X - A Welcoming Catholic Community

Eucharistic Ministers

Confirmed members of the Catholic Church are invited to be Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion. A Eucharistic Minister is a commissioned member of our community who assists the priest in the distribution of Christ's Body and Blood.

The majority of these ministers serve at Mass, but many also choose to participate in this ministry at the hospitals, nursing homes or by taking communion to the homebound of our parish. Please contact Betty Renner, Pastoral Assistant, for more information about ministering outside of Mass.

There are also opportunities for experienced Eucharistic Ministers to assist with Weddings, Funerals, and Holy Day liturgies.

Ministry schedules for Eucharistic Ministers are created every three months and each individual is scheduled about 3-8 times depending on Mass times and liturgical need. For more information contact Matt Maus,  Director of Liturgy and Music.
