Dear Parishioners,

As you may know, in a "Letter to Catholic Faithful of MN Concerning the Resumption of Public Worship" the Catholic Bishops of Minnesota are granting permission for our local parishes to reopen for public Masses as early as May 27th.
This letter states:
"Parishes will be required to follow the strict protocols we have published for sanitation and social distancing and will have to limit attendance to one-third of the seating capacity of the church. No one will be obliged to attend, as the bishops of Minnesota will continue to dispense from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass."
St. Pius X parish staff has met and is working on plans to open for public Masses at a later date, but will not be prepared to do so by May 27th. Click here to view Fr. Russ's explanation. We will continue to offer Mass via our  YouTube channel, even after Mass has been reopened to the public, and the Church will remain open for prayer 9am-4pm.
In an effort to plan appropriately for re-opening at 1/3 capacity, we are asking each St. Pius X household to respond to a three question survey by June 1st. (Only one response per household is needed)

Updating Contacts                                                                                            In the coming weeks we anticipate a need for much information to be shared in regards to changes happening at St. Pus X.  The parish data base contains over 1000 families and we have email contacts for roughly 50%.  For the parishioners who do not have emails listed we will continue to mail notices to your home.  If you have not been receiving email updates regarding changes and Mass notices, we would love to be able to provide these to you electronically.  Simply send your updated contact information to church@piusx.org and we will update our records

Parish Office                                                                                                  The parish office is now open to the public.  It is preferable for people to call ahead to see if their needs are something that can be handled without an in-person visit. Please do not visit the office if you have a fever, cough, sneezing or are feeling ill. Everyone who enters must wear a mask, and when inside, observe social distancing. St. Pius X staff will disinfect surfaces on a regular basis to ensure sanitized facilities.                                                                                                                                                                                                  Quilters and Those Who Sew                                                                         We would like to provide masks to St. Pius X parishioners who may need them. Those who sew may help your fellow parishioners by making masks and dropping them off at the Parish Office. Please indicate the date you drop off the masks on the bag. We will quarantine them for 3 days and then put them out in the church entrances , labeled one per person. Patterns can be found online. (These  are homemade, not PPE or clinically approved.)  This is a great service to many. Thank you!

Prayer and Mass                                                                                            The church will remain open every day for individual prayer from 9 am until 4 pm. Father Russ will continue celebrating Mass via the parish YouTube channel, (Daily Mass - Tuesday through Friday, Weekend Mass – Sunday). The Diocesan Mass is available Sundays on Channel 3 KIMT at 7:30 am and MyTV at 3.2 at 9 am.

Donations                                                                                                          Parishioners have inquired as to what they should do with envelopes and their weekly giving.                                                                                           -  WEEKLY ENVELOPES may be mailed to or placed in mail slot in the parish office door at 1315 12th Ave NW.                                                           -  DIRECT GIVING will continue as normal.  If you would like to enroll or make changes to your current donations, email church@piusx.org.               - ONLINE GIVING allows you to make donations using your debit/credit card.
